Who is KCMS III? Who Cares???

A cynic who would love to be an idealist, a pessimist who should be an optimist, a Libertine in waiting, a Gemini (if there is such thing), a cholera apologist, a musician, a healthcare provider, type A, type B (OK, mostly type A without enough energy), a traveler, a science communicator, a skeptic, a man who tries to take the higher path despite his many shortcomings. All have been valid at one point or another in my life and sometimes all at once. I try to enjoy life to it’s fullest and in the process usually spread myself way to thin. During it all, I hope I have made people laugh, hope to have had a positive impact on peoples lives, try not to hurt anyone, and repent for the ones I have.

So… What’s all this about. Well, basically its a repository for the things I find interesting, issues I feel need to be commented on, and the multiple facets of my life such as traveling, music, medical education / science communication, and the everyday hum drum of my life. It’s organized in the following way…

Blog

My blog is separated into the following sections…

Blog– If you click on the “Blog” tab itself it will take you to a catch all page that lists all my blog posts from the three sections below.

Personal– This, as the name suggests, is a personal blog where I muse and ponder about life, relationships, politics, or things I find funny or bizarre.

The Prosaic Traveler– This is my travel blog where I post about my journeys near and far. It can have anything from praise of a local restaurant or bar, day trips, weekend get aways, flying abroad, and anything in between.

From The PIT: A Heavy Medical Consult– This final blog is my medical education vlog where I address lesser known aspects of medicine and emergency medicine, tackle the significant medical misinformation that is on the internet and social media, and the reasoning / evidenced based treatments of common medication conditions with a dash of underlying metal music. 🤘🏼 This is done with both short and long form videos in an effort to make people better informed and in a better position to interact / ask questions with their health care providers.
